Remineralizing toothpaste & the cutest cabbage patch wig

I was disappointed about 5 months ago when I found out that the toothpaste I had been using, Tom’s of Maine, had been sold to Colgate and now contains sodium lauryl sulfate, an artificial ingredient.  There are some that say it’s safe, and some that say it’s a carcinogen, but I’ll play it safe and make my own natural toothpaste.

For the past couple of months I’ve been putting a couple drops of Dr. Bronner’s rose castile soap on my toothbrash, as I had done a ton of research and my conclusion was that it was a great option. The rose castile soap is not the greatest flavor to put in your mouth, but it was all I had at the time. This week I was going to mix the unscented Dr. Bronner’s castile soap I bought with drops of Young Living peppermint essential oil, but I just found this recipe from Wellness Mama, which is ok’d by her holistic dentist friend- I’m most excited about the part where my teeth will no longer be sensitive! I’ll add one drop of peppermint oil and one drop of Young Living’s Thieves oil to this recipe. Follow me as I go on an amazing oral hygiene adventure…

Also, I found this recently and need to make it for somebody stat! It’s a crochet Cabbage Patch wig for babies. How adorable is that?!
